The Potting Shed shop is located right in the centre of the historical town of Shaftesbury, Dorset.

The Potting Shed itself is an old building, with three rooms full of gardening accessories, seeds, bulbs, garden books, indoor plant pots, homewares and giftware, all of which has a botanical or nature related theme.

Having been a gardener for 15 years in Bournemouth, and having worked at various garden centres, I decided to follow my dream of owning a plant shop and so in 2017 I took over The Potting Shed. I like to stock the shop with more unusual gifts that you don't find in many garden centres, so I hope you share my love of all things botanical, and can find something for yourself or as a gift here.
The Walled Garden
Visit our walled garden for a very wide range of outdoor plants, from seasonal bedding to shrubs, herbs, herbaceous perennials, climbing plants and more. If you're looking for a particular plant, please ask - we can try to source one for you.
